Wince 🙂
Hello Wince, I had never thought Bruce was a reader talkless of a great writer, and your information about his books and writing skills has challenged me. I am still surprised about the collections of 2500 he read, were they the books he wrote, or love novels, or better still, what was he so passionate about reading?
About his books, all those presented are very inspiring and I love the “Bruce Lee’s Fighting Method: The Complete Edition” most since it will help me on how to defend myself against street attacks if embarrassed by thugs and or petty thieves especially in some remote part of Africa where I may find myself. The other books are very good Professionals or those who have a great passion for Martial Art.
I am also a fan of Bruce Lee and wish to know the reason for his funny sharp and high-pitched sounds he produces during fighting. Did he write this in any of his books?
Hi Akon, thanks for your comments much appreciated, yes Bruce was an amazing man with many talents other than martial arts,2500 books read covering many subjects, books he read all sorts of subjects please see below
Western Philosophy
Eastern Philosophy
Martial arts/ Fencing/ Boxing
American Self Help
Miscellaneous
He was passionate about reading the above but each of those primary subjects have plenty of secondary subjects he could not get enough of reading, he realized at a young age the important of knowledge. As you can see from the this above those books were not novels or fiction book but non fiction factual books.
Bruce inspired a whole generation and is still inspiring many today form his legacy, glad to hear you love Bruce Lees fighting method, I love all those books. You can learn self defense from those books as you mentioned and good luck with your training just get training partner practice those techniques. As I advise all my reader always be aware of environment and avoid finding yourself if possible in the wrong place at the wrong time.
You mentioned the `funny sharp and high-pitched sounds he produces during fighting` I personally think this was for dramatical effect in his movies as he was a great film director and had a great eye for what works.
Great questions, look forward to see more comments from you,
All the best
